THE MOVIES: JEWEL THEATER PROGRAM

Tonight, last time--Beautiful Billie Burke in "Gloria's Romance." The fourth chapter of this wonderful serial played by the most attractive actresses on the screen today, is called "The Social Vortex," and has a great many wonderful gowns, worn by Billie Burke and other actresses.

Jackie Saunders in "A Rose Among the Briers" is a beautifully colored picture that has a wonderful story and played by one of the best known screen actresses on the screen today. The Pathe News has the landing of the German submarine Deutschland in Baltimore after a successful trip of 3000 miles across the Atlantic. "The Secret Formula," an amateur picture taken by the La Petite Film Company, written by Dr. Charles Hadden Parker and directed by Leon D. Kent, the Santa Cruz director, is a very good illustration of the beautiful scenery that is found in Santa Cruz and vicinity, and shows what could be done should Mr. Parker organize a company and produce pictures that would be accepted by any company releasing pictures, as there is no question but what there is every available means here for a motion picture company.
