Santa Cruz County History - Films
Santa Cruz Sentinel-News, Morning Edition. June 4, 1916. p. 1
TWO MORE LOCAL FILMS ACCEPTED
"The Feud" and "Cindy Lane's Sacrifice," the second pair of pictures produced by the Santa Cruz Motion Picture Company under the direction of Leon D. Kent, have been accepted by the Universal Film Manufacturing Company. Mr. Kent is now directing a photoplay entitled "The Sprite Of The Breakers," in which Miss Vera Jansen, the clever local juvenile dancer, is featured along with Miss Nan Christie, the talented leading lady of the company. The class of minuet dancers trained by Miss Newman of Bay View School also appear in this picture. Director Kent is highly pleased with little Miss Jansen's work, not only as a dancer, but also as a motion picture actress.
