Old Soldiers: Santa Cruz County Civil War Veterans

Santa Cruz Sentinel (November 12, 1972)
He was a volunteer who served in Arizona, where he was wounded by an Apache arrow that penetrated his lungs and eventually brought death on Dec. 12, 1866. He was the nephew of the man after whom Davenport Landing was named.
