Old Soldiers: Santa Cruz County Civil War Veterans

Veteran Waldo Passes Away
One by one the old soldiers are answering the final call, and this time Henry Richard Waldo answers the final summons. He died on Thursday morning at his home at 139 market St. where he has lived for five years. He was a brother of B.F. Waldo of the Ben Lomond mountains.
The deceased was born at Royalton, Vermont and was a veteran of the Civil war. He has made his home in California for forty one years and came here from Fort Bragg.
The deceased was an Odd Fellow, a member of Fort Bragg lodge No. 360. Surviving him are his wife, three sons, Walter, Ben, and Bert of Santa Cruz, and two daughters, Mrs. Emil Larsen of Fort Bragg and Mrs. L. Dotta of Santa Cruz.

The funeral of the deceased will take place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Wessendorf and Staffler's undertaking parlors. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.
