DIED: Smith, in Santa Cruz, Sept. 23d, Gilbert P. Smith, a native of New York, age 50 years.
Gilbert P. Smith, brother of Mrs. J.F. Parker, died suddenly of dropsy near the beach Friday.
Santa Cruz Sentinel (September 29, 1892)
Gilbert P. Smith, a member of Co K 52nd New York Infantry was listed as being buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
