Scotts Valley Branch Booksale (2:00 PM-6:00 PM)
Location: Scotts Valley Branch
The Scotts Valley Chapter of the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries will hold a two day book sale on Thursday December 3, 2009 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and on Saturday December 5, 2009 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. The sale will take place on the sidewalk in front of the Scotts Valley Branch. It will include paperbacks and hard cover books for children and adults.

Boulder Creek chapter/Friends of the Library (1:30 PM-3:30 PM)
Location: Boulder Creek Branch
Join the Boulder Creek Friends in supporting the BC branch. Group usually meets on the 4th Saturday of the Month at 1:30 pm. New holiday schedule applies

The La Selva Beach Chapter of the FSCPL meets at 3:00 on the first Monday of each month. Meetings are held in the boardroom of the La Selva Beach Clubhouse. if you are interested in: fund raising, volunteering, or helping to restore library programming and hours for the La Selva Beach Library, then please consider joining us.

Scotts Valley Friends Chapter Meeting (6:30 PM-8:00 PM)
Location: Scotts Valley Branch
The Scotts Valley Chapter of the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries meets the second Wednesday of the month at the Scotts Valley Branch Library. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Time: 6:30-8:00 p.m. All interested Scotts Valley residents are welcome to attend. This Friends Chapter is actively involved in fund raising for the new Scotts Valley Branch and welcomes the ideas and energy of all who wish to participate!

Advisory Council of Teens (ACT) (5:00 PM-5:00 PM)

The ACT is a group of young adults, ages 12 to 18, who are interested in the library's service to Santa Cruz county teens. ACT members advise library staff on collection and programming needs. ACT meets the 2nd Sunday of the month. For more information contact Sandi @ 831.420.5665.

Peet's Fundraiser (8:00 AM-9:00 PM)
Location: 819 Bay Ave., #A, Capitola
Peet's Coffee & Tea in Capitola is having a Christmas Eve Fundraiser for the Library. Stop by for a cup of coffee, a peppermint hot chocolate, or other fine treat on December 24 and help the Library at the same time. Peet's staff is donating a portion of their tips and Peet's corporate office will match the donation. Peet's Coffee & Tea is located at 819 Bay Avenue, #A in Capitola. Parking and the entrance is on the right as you enter the Nob Hill shopping center. See you there!
