Residents are invited to attend a presentation about easy ways to conserve energy in their homes and businesses. Benefits combine lower energy costs and reduced impact on our environment. Citizens will learn the basics of reducing their carbon footprint and receive information about steps they can take to dramatically reduce energy use and waste.
Environmentalist Collette Streight, who also heads up the Santa Cruz Climate Action Team Program, will moderate this meeting at the Boulder Creek Library on June 30th. Ms Streight will introduce straight forward and fun ways individuals can save energy. She will also outline a program where small groups, known as Climate Action Teams, work together to attain substantial results.
All residents interested in saving energy, reducing costs, and supporting a cleaner environment are welcome to attend this hour long program which begins at 6:30. There will also be an opportunity for follow up with those interested in working within a Climate Action Team
