Tales to Tails- La Selva Beach (1:30 PM-2:30 PM)
Location: La Selva Beach Branch
Trained therapy dogs will be available at the Library to be attentive, non-judgmental reading partners for children reading aloud. Children have individual 20-minute time slots to sit with a dog and read. Call 427- 7717 to make an appointment.

David Swanger Poetry Reading (10:30 AM-11:30 AM)
Location: La Selva Beach Branch
The LaSelva Beach Branch Library Friends will host a free poetry reading by Santa Cruz County Poet Laureate, David Swanger on Thursday, January 24 from 10:30-Noon. Dr. Swanger is a retired UCSC Professor of Education and Creative Writing. He will be reading his poetry, talking about his creative process, and answering questions. All are welcome. This event is sponsored by the LSB Friends and the Passionate Readers Book Discussion Group.
