Like an unexpected spring flower, a journaling class has appeared at the Downtown branch. Andrew Drinnan, a library volunteer, teaches a journaling class every Tuesday, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room at the Downtown branch. "Keeping a journal can be a self-empowering and motivating expressive outlet. Journaling can be a tool for self-awareness. This class/group will share the power of keeping a journal with advice, tips, and motivations to get the most out of yours," says volunteer teacher Andrew Drinnan.

Munching with Mozart and Friends is a free monthly noontime concert series at the Downtown Branch sponsored by the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries and the Santa Cruz County Branch of the Music Teachers’ Association of California.
