Project SCOUT (Senior Citizen OUTreach) will be at the Aptos branch on Thursdays from 1pm - 3pm from February 6 - April 10.Project SCOUT provides free tax assistance to seniors, individuals with a disability, and low income residents of Santa Cruz County, and also assists with general tax questions.

In conjunction with the Santa Cruz County Office of Education, the Santa Cruz Public Libraries are offering free homework assistance at 6 branches. Each Homework Help site is supervised by a California-certified teacher. There is at least one bilingual person at each location. No appointment is necessary. Open to students grade 12 and under.
