    Like an unexpected spring flower, a journaling class has appeared at the Downtown branch. Andrew Drinnan, a library volunteer, teaches a journaling class every Tuesday, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room at the Downtown branch. "Keeping a journal can be a self-empowering and motivating expressive outlet. Journaling can be a tool for self-awareness. This class/group will share the power of keeping a journal with advice, tips, and motivations to get the most out of yours," says volunteer teacher Andrew Drinnan.

    Reading in the Redwoods book group meets monthly at the Felton Library on the fourth Wednesday, reading contemporary books chosen by the members. Copies of each month's book are available at the Felton branch library. For more information call 427-7708 or drop by the branch. The branch is closed after 6 pm but the front door will be open.     In May we will meet at a member's house in Boulder Creek at 5:30 to go for a farm walk at Camp Joy Gardens nearby, and reconvene at the house at 6:30 for a potluck and book discussion.
