This session is part of the Cal Humanities War Comes Home initiative that Santa Cruz Public Libraries is participating in to spark conversations with veterans and coming home.

    The Veterans History Project is an American Folklife project of the Library of Congress to record and preserve the stories of our country's veterans. The Santa Cruz Public Libraries is participating in this project by videoing interviews of local veterans telling their stories. With the veteran's permission, a copy of the interview is sent to the Library of Congress, a copy is kept in SCPL's collection, and a copy is given to the veteran. Interviews are conducted in private and the veteran has full control over the interview. Veterans, their families, and interested community members are invited to this information session to learn more about the process and how the stories are honored. All veterans are encouraged to participate. This session is part of the Cal Humanities War Comes Home initiative to spark conversations with veterans talking about coming home.
