• SPIN Asperger Syndrome Parent Support Event (6:00 PM-8:00 PM)
  Location: Scotts Valley Branch
  This event is for parents and caregivers of children, teens, and young adults who have Asperger Syndrome (and those with similar challenges). We will have mentors, who are parents of teens and adults, who will speak about their experiences raising a child with AS, as well as have time for parents to ask questions and break into small groups to share together.   Like an unexpected spring flower, a journaling class has appeared at the Downtown branch. Andrew Drinnan, a library volunteer, teaches a journaling class every Tuesday, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room at the Downtown branch. "Keeping a journal can be a self-empowering and motivating expressive outlet. Journaling can be a tool for self-awareness. This class/group will share the power of keeping a journal with advice, tips, and motivations to get the most out of yours," says volunteer teacher Andrew Drinnan.

• Reading in the Redwoods (6:15 PM-7:30 PM)
  Location: Felton Branch
  Reading in the Redwoods book group meets monthly at the Felton Library on the fourth Wednesday, reading contemporary books chosen by the members. Copies of each month's book are available at the Felton branch library. For more information call 427-7708 or drop by the branch. The branch is closed after 6 pm but the front door will be open.
