SCPL offers Downloadable Audio Books from 2 vendors...
SCPL offers downloadable audio books from two vendors: Recorded Books/Netlibrary and the Califa/Overdrive Download Center. All downloadable audio books can be found in the Library Catalog. Search for them just as you would any other library materials--by title, author, subject, or keyword. They can be distinguished by a unique icon which will appear next to the title.
Recorded Books/NetLibrary Downloadable Audio Books
The Recorded Books/NetLibrary collection contains over 1900 downloadable audio books for portable devices and computers. The collection includes bestsellers, classics, nonfiction and more!
The new Recorded Books One Click Audio Book service makes it easier than ever to download and listen to audio books on your computer or portable device (the collection now also includes many iPod compatible titles). Use the link below for quick instructions—and give it a try!
Remote access requires a Santa Cruz Public Library card and PIN. You will also need to create a NetLibrary account in order to check out materials.

Califa/Overdrive Downloadable Audio Books
The Califa/Overdrive Download Center features hundreds of audio books including frequently-requested travel guides and Nolo Press titles that you can download for use on your personal computer, PDA, or portable MP3 player. Many titles are iPod compatible.
